Classification of production lines

According to the size of the scope, production lines can be divided into product production lines and parts production lines. Product production lines focus on completing all manufacturing work of a certain type of product, from raw material processing to final product molding, with a coherent and efficient process. Parts production lines focus on producing one or some parts of the product, providing necessary components for subsequent assembly work.

According to the speed of the rhythm, they can be divided into assembly lines and non-assembly lines. With its continuous and efficient characteristics, assembly lines enable products to move between stations at a predetermined speed and direction, and complete various processing or assembly tasks in sequence, which is suitable for mass production. Non-assembly lines are relatively flexible and can be adjusted in time according to production needs. They are suitable for small batch and multi-variety production environments.

According to the degree of automation, production lines are divided into automated production lines and non-automated production lines. Automated production lines use advanced mechanical, electrical, electronic and computer technologies to achieve automated control of the production process, greatly improve production efficiency and reduce labor costs. Non-automated production lines mainly rely on manpower to complete various production tasks, which are suitable for production scenarios with relatively low technical requirements or cost sensitivity.

In addition, according to the function of the production line, it can also be divided into processing automation production line, assembly automation production line and testing automation production line. They focus on the processing, assembly and quality inspection of products respectively, and jointly ensure the production quality and production efficiency of products.
