The aluminum foil should have good hydrophobicity, a clean and flat surface, without pinholes, bubbles, corrosion and damage. As the core material, the performance of the refractory fiber blanket is also crucial. The blanket is usually formed by needle punching, does not contain a binder, is biosoluble and has a certain degree of softness. Its chemical composition is mainly alkaline earth metal oxides and silicon dioxide. The appearance quality of the blanket is strict, without tears, holes and sandwich layer defects.
During the construction process, construction personnel are required to be equipped with complete labor protection supplies and construction and installation tools. Metal ducts should be wrapped with a whole piece of composite aluminum foil to avoid splicing. The cut seam should be straight and sealed with aluminum foil tape, and no refractory fiber should be exposed. Metal welding nails should be used for fixing to ensure that the welding nails on the surface of the refractory fiber blanket are evenly distributed and the spacing is appropriate.
The performance requirements of aluminum foil fiber are also reflected in its fire resistance. The fire resistance performance of the wrapped duct is determined by a professional type inspection and test report. Only when these technical requirements are met can aluminum foil fiber play an excellent role in heat insulation and fire prevention in practical applications.
