Technical requirements of rock wool

As an important inorganic thermal insulation material, rock wool is widely used in the construction and industrial fields. In order to ensure its quality and performance, a series of strict technical requirements are essential.

In terms of physical properties, the density and thickness of rock wool need to be strictly controlled. Appropriate density can ensure the stability of the rock wool structure, while the appropriate thickness can meet the insulation needs in different scenarios. Compressive strength and tensile strength are also key indicators. Sufficient strength can keep the structure intact in harsh environments without being damaged or torn.

Combustion performance is crucial for rock wool. It must have excellent flame retardancy and no toxic gas at high temperatures to ensure safe use. Hygroscopicity should be low to prevent the impact on thermal insulation and other properties in a humid environment.

Thermal conductivity and heat capacity determine the thermal performance of rock wool. High-quality rock wool must have low thermal conductivity and appropriate heat capacity to achieve good insulation. In terms of sound insulation performance, rock wool should be able to effectively reduce sound transmission and improve living or working comfort.

Stability and durability should not be ignored either. Rock wool must maintain chemical stability for long-term use, not be affected by corrosion and aging, and undergo rigorous testing to ensure long service life and reduce maintenance costs.

In addition, rock wool products must also meet requirements such as dimensional accuracy, surface flatness, and appearance quality, and be easy to install and beautiful and practical. In the comprehensive inspection process, strict testing and evaluation must be carried out in accordance with relevant standards to ensure that product quality meets design requirements and meets usage needs.
