What is the relationship between thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber module and blanket?

Thermal conductivity refers to the heat transferred through 1 square meter of area in 1 hour under stable heat transfer conditions, with a temperature difference of 1 degree (K/℃) on both sides of a 1m thick material, and the unit is watt/meter.degree (W/(m·K), K can be replaced by ℃).

The thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber products is used to characterize the size of their thermal conductivity.

There are many factors affecting the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber, which mainly depends on the structure, bulk density, temperature, pressure, ambient atmosphere and humidity of ceramic fiber products.

Relationship between thermal conductivity of module and blanket

The bulk density of ceramic fiber blanket and ceramic fiber module is very different. The bulk density of blanket is 96Kg/m³ and 128Kg/m³, and the bulk density of ceramic fiber module is 220Kg/m³. Both are lightweight refractory fiber products with low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation effect. From the technical indicators of ceramic fiber module and blanket, it can be seen that the thermal conductivity of the two is not much different.

However, in the thermal calculation of industrial furnace applications, the thermal conductivity of the ceramic fiber module is calculated as 1.3 times the thermal conductivity of the blanket. This is because when the ceramic fiber module is used as an industrial furnace lining, it is fixed to the metal furnace shell with the help of high-temperature metal anchors. The calculation formula of the thermal conductivity at different temperatures and the coefficient between the thermal conductivity of the ceramic fiber module and the blanket are summarized based on the data of many years of domestic application of ceramic fiber products.
