When a ceramic fiber composite insulation structure is adopted for the heating furnace lining, the insulation layer often utilizes ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket as the core insulating material to enhance the thermal insulation sealing, corrosion resistance, durability, energy-saving, and consumption-reducing performance of the lining. In practical applications, the following defining conditions must be strictly adhered to:
Except for forced flue gas flow pipes, air ducts, and furnace bottoms, fiber linings can be applied to all other areas of the heating furnace.
The rated operating temperature of the ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket lining must be at least 280°C higher than the actual calculated temperature on the hot surface of the lining layer to ensure stable performance under high-temperature conditions.
When the chlorine content in the fuel exceeds 15 μg/g and the furnace lining adopts a fiber structure, the hot surface of the furnace wall steel plate must be coated with a high-temperature-resistant anti-corrosion coating suitable for environments below 200°C. If the chlorine content in the fuel exceeds 600 μg/g, an additional gas barrier aluminum foil layer must be added. The installation position of the gas barrier layer must ensure that its temperature under operating conditions is at least 60°C higher than the calculated dew point. The overlap width between layers must be no less than 50 mm. Sealing treatment is required at the edges of the lining, anchor penetration points, and interface areas to prevent corrosive gas penetration, condensation, and corrosion of the steel plate and lining accessories.
When the alkali metal content in the fuel exceeds 120 μg/g, soft fiber insulation materials such as ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket are strictly prohibited for heating furnace linings. They must be replaced with rigid insulation materials such as fiber castables, prefabricated blocks, or lightweight refractory bricks.
When the working pressure inside the furnace exceeds 1.0 MPa, ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket must not be used as the insulation layer material for the furnace lining.
Areas of the heating furnace equipped with pulse soot blowers, high-temperature steam cleaning pipes, or online ash removal devices are prohibited from using ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket linings.
The promotion and application of the new SUNTHERM ceramic fiber aluminum foil composite blanket insulation structure have not only achieved remarkable results in reducing furnace heat dissipation loss, shortening heating cycles, and lowering operating costs but have also optimized the thermal process of the heating furnace, simplified the lining construction process, improved the overall operational and maintenance convenience of the equipment, and created significant economic benefits and technical advantages for enterprises.
