As a new type of thermal insulation and energy-saving material, aluminum foil fiber is widely used in petrochemical and other industries, but the following matters need to be noted when using it.
First, regarding the use temperature, it is necessary to clarify the applicable temperature range of different types of aluminum foil fiber. For example, in the insulation of the heating furnace lining, it is necessary to ensure that the use temperature of any layer of fiber lining is higher than the calculated temperature of the hot surface by more than 260°C, and when the sulfur content of the fuel is different, there are corresponding requirements for the treatment of the lining. If the sulfur content in the fuel exceeds 10μg/g, the hot surface of the furnace wall steel plate must be painted with anti-corrosion paint; when the sulfur content exceeds 500μg/g, a gas barrier layer must be set; when the heavy metal content exceeds 100μg/g, the lining must not use soft fiber materials.
Secondly, during the construction process, the construction of the insulation structure is particular. For example, for the external insulation of steam pipelines, ceramic fiber blankets, aluminum foil needle-punched blankets, and aluminum foil blankets should be added in order, and each layer should be tied with flat steel strips with a spacing of no more than 300mm, and finally covered with black iron sheets and painted with anti-rust paint.
Furthermore, the installation environment should not be ignored. For parts that are subjected to greater pressure, fiber linings cannot be used when the pressure is greater than 0.8MPa; fiber linings are not suitable for convection sections equipped with soot blowers, steam spray guns, and water washing equipment.
In addition, the use of aluminum foil-coated fibers can also help reduce costs. Adding an aluminum foil layer to the insulation layer can reduce heat dissipation losses and make the temperature more uniform. This structure was used in related pipeline projects of Qilu Petrochemical with ideal results. When using it, it is necessary to operate in strict accordance with the specifications and requirements to give full play to the performance advantages of aluminum foil-coated fibers and achieve goals such as energy saving and consumption reduction.
