As a high-performance inorganic non-metallic material, ceramic fiber inorganic board is widely used in industry, construction and other fields. Its advantages and disadvantages are as follows:
Advantages
1. Outstanding high temperature resistance
Ceramic fiber inorganic board can withstand high temperature environments of 800℃ to 1600℃ for a long time, far exceeding traditional organic materials.
2. Significant heat insulation and energy saving effects
Its thermal conductivity is extremely low (0.03~0.2 W/(m·K)), which can effectively reduce heat transfer and reduce energy consumption.
3. Excellent fire prevention and safety performance
It is an A1-level non-combustible material that meets international fire protection standards. It does not burn or produce toxic smoke at high temperatures.
4. Lightweight and high strength, easy construction
The density is only 180~350 kg/m³, which is about 1/10 of the traditional brick wall, which can greatly reduce the structural load. At the same time, it has high tensile and compressive strength, is easy to cut and install, has high construction efficiency, and is suitable for rapid deployment in complex environments.
5. Chemical stability and environmental protection
It has good corrosion resistance to most chemical media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, and is suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical industry and metallurgy. There is no pollution during production and use, and it meets the standards of green building materials.
Disadvantages
1. Weak impact and wear resistance
Ceramic fiber inorganic board is brittle, has poor impact resistance, and is easily damaged by external forces.
2. Limited resistance to air flow erosion and erosion
Long-term exposure to high-speed airflow or slag erosion environment, ceramic fiber inorganic board is prone to fiber structure changes, resulting in shrinkage and deformation.
3. Insufficient water resistance and moisture resistance
Ceramic fiber inorganic board has a high porosity and is easy to absorb water. After being soaked, its thermal insulation performance will drop significantly, and it may even become a heat conductor.
4. High cost and limited application
Affected by the production process and raw material costs, the price of ceramic fiber inorganic board is relatively high, which limits its application in some cost-sensitive fields.
