1. Reasons for the black color
The reason why the fireproof black rock wool board is black is mainly due to the addition of hematite during its production process. The specific mechanism is as follows:
The coloring effect of hematite
Hematite (mainly composed of Fe₂O₃) is black in itself. During the high-temperature melting process, it is evenly dispersed in the rock wool fiber, giving the finished product a dark black appearance. Its black component is fully integrated with the rock wool matrix, which not only gives the board color characteristics but also improves the fire resistance limit.
2. Toxicity analysis
The fireproof black rock wool board is an inorganic non-metallic material. Its safety is reflected in the following two aspects:
(1) No toxic substances in the production process
The raw materials are natural rocks (basalt, dolomite) and hematite, which are fiberized after high-temperature melting. No organic chemical additives are added, and no toxic substances are released during the production process.
(2) No health risks during the use stage
As an inorganic material, the fireproof black rock wool board does not contain harmful substances. It will not release toxic gases or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during normal use, and meets environmental protection and health standards.
