Compared with traditional thermal insulation materials, ceramic fiber shaped parts have many advantages in high temperature resistance, thermal insulation performance, flexibility, etc.
1. Excellent high temperature resistance: Traditional thermal insulation materials such as rock wool and glass wool are generally used at a temperature of several hundred degrees Celsius. When the temperature exceeds its tolerance range, the thermal insulation performance will drop significantly and even the material will be damaged. Ceramic fiber shaped parts can be used in high temperature environments of 1000℃ - 1400℃ for a long time, such as in high temperature fields such as industrial kilns and steel metallurgy, and can stably play a role in thermal insulation and effectively protect equipment and structures.
2. Excellent thermal insulation performance: Ceramic fiber shaped parts have extremely low thermal conductivity and can greatly reduce heat transfer. Comparing ceramic fiber shaped parts with traditional thermal insulation materials of the same thickness, the thermal insulation effect of ceramic fiber shaped parts is significantly better than that of traditional thermal insulation materials, which can make the surface temperature of the insulated equipment lower, reduce heat loss, and reduce energy consumption.
3. Lightweight: The density of ceramic fiber shaped parts is usually between 200 and 600kg/m³, which is much lower than many traditional insulation materials. For example, the density of ordinary calcium silicate insulation materials can reach 200-1000kg/m³. The lighter weight is convenient for handling and installation. In some occasions where weight is required, such as the aerospace field, ceramic fiber shaped parts have more advantages, which can not only reduce the weight of the aircraft, but also ensure the insulation performance.
4. Good flexibility: Ceramic fiber shaped parts have good flexibility and elasticity, can adapt to the surface of equipment of different shapes and sizes, can be processed into various complex shapes according to needs, fit the equipment closely, reduce insulation dead corners, and improve the insulation effect. Traditional insulation materials such as hard polyurethane foam have poor flexibility and are difficult to fully fit for equipment with complex shapes.
