1. Basic components of ceramic fiber paper production line

(1) Pulping system:

Function: Mix ceramic fiber raw materials (loose cotton) with water and binder (such as silica sol, phosphate) to make uniform fiber slurry.

Equipment: Pulper, pulper, mixing tank.

(2) Forming system:

Function: Dehydrate the slurry into wet paper blanks through papermaking process.

Equipment: Fourdrinier papermaking machine, rotary papermaking machine or inclined wire forming machine (select according to the thickness and uniformity requirements of paper base).

(3) Drying system:

Function: Remove moisture from wet paper blanks and solidify the fiber structure.

Equipment: Hot air drying box, roller dryer (divided into low temperature and high temperature sections, the temperature is usually 100~300℃).

(4) Post-processing system:

Function: Surface treatment, cutting or rewinding of dried fiber paper.

Equipment: Calender (to improve flatness), slitting machine, rewinder.

(5) Auxiliary systems:

Water supply/air supply system, dust removal equipment, electronic control system (automatic control of production parameters).

2. Core process flow

01 Raw material preparation:

Ceramic fiber raw materials (such as short fibers produced by melt blowing method) are crushed and impurity-free, and then mixed with binders and dispersants in proportion.

02 Pulping:

The fibers and water are fully dispersed in the pulper to form a uniform pulp with a concentration of about 1%~3% (the fiber length is usually 0.5~3mm).

03 Papermaking:

The pulp is evenly spread on the forming net through the headbox, and is vacuum dehydrated and squeezed by the pressing roller to form a wet paper blank (thickness 0.5~5mm).

04 Drying and curing:

The wet paper blank enters the drying kiln with the mesh belt, and the moisture content is reduced to below 3% through hot air circulation or infrared heating, while the binder solidifies the bonding force between the fibers.

05 Slitting and packaging:

The dried fiber paper is calendered and cut into specified sizes (such as standard paper rolls or flat sheets), and packaged and put into storage after quality inspection.

Product characteristics:

High temperature resistance (600~1400℃, depending on the type of fiber), low thermal conductivity (0.03~0.06W/(m・K)), thermal shock resistance, easy processing (can be cut and punched).

Main applications:

Industrial insulation: kiln lining, pipe insulation, high temperature equipment gasket.

Electronics/electrical appliances: heating element insulation layer, oven sealing gasket.

Aerospace: engine insulation components, fireproof partitions (must meet flame retardant standards).

Special fields: nuclear power equipment insulation, fire protection and fireproof materials (such as fire curtain interlayer).

Energy saving: use heat pump drying and waste heat recovery technology to reduce energy consumption.

High performance: develop low chlorofluoride and more corrosion-resistant ceramic fiber paper (such as for chemical kilns).
